We think that the best example of what we can do when it comes to designing, building, and maintaining a network, is our own.
Cloud 9 operates a high-availability network serving thousands of customers, using a diverse mix of hardware and software. The network has to run smoothly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with as few performance problems or outages as possible.
Here's a few examples of what we've done for our clients:
- Design, deploy, and maintain a wide area network with over 50 sites in the New York metro area. DSL was used to create a private (not connected to the Internet) network with a VPN overlay for added security.
- Install and maintain the StoneGate high-availability firewall and intrusion prevention system for a large business with WAN or VPN connectivity to nearly 30 business partner networks, 2 ISPs, and 200 remote users.
- Install and maintain a Network Appliance multi-terabyte, high-availability network attached storage/storage area network in a Windows and UNIX environment.
- Expand and maintain an existing Cisco CallManager VOIP system with 800 users across three sites, including voicemail, call recording, and telephone company diversity.
- Develop an application to monitor over LAN switches to ensure only pre-approved hardware devices can be attached to the network. An unknown device detected on a port results in an alarm being raised, and the port disabled.
- Develop a web-based application to send out text messages (SMS) to hundreds of recipients. Depending on the carrier's capabilities, the application can also report back on which messages were successfully delivered and/or even read.
